GUIDED TROUT FISHING:  Capt. Kent Klewein 706.838.2017  If you really want to experience the best fishing in the tri state area Kent offers a variety of experiences from float trips to wading and lake fishing.  He is a knowledgeable and professional guide and a great person to spend the day with.


HORSE BACK RIDING:  www.blanchemanor.com  706.455.RIDE  This is a well organized and professionally run stable.  Only 15 minutes from the cabin with beautiful trails and scenery.  They offer hayrides and trail rides.  Located in Copperhill, TN contact Peggy Blanche for reservations.
  

MAC POINT BEACH:  Fantastic picnic and swimming lake located near cabin just across Tennessee line West on Hwy 64.
 
 
WHITE WATER RAFTING: www.wildwaterltd.com   1.800.451.9972  Offers exciting whitewater rafting excursions on the Ocoee River.  Class 3 to 5 rapids.  Located near cabin just 10 minutes drive across the Tennessee line West on Hwy 64.

TUBING & RAFTING: www.toccoavalleycampground.com   706.838.4317  This is a great way to cool off on a hot day.  This trip is fun for all ages and is located in the Aska Recreation area along the Toccoa river near Blue Ridge, GA.


PARKSVILLE BEACH:  Another great day trip spot for swimming and picnic along Hwy 64 West across the Tennessee line.

 
RUBY FALLS, CHATTANOOGA, TN:  www.rubyfalls.com  Cool underground caverns and an awesome 145' waterfall deep in Look Out Mountain located in Chattanooga, TN.  This is a 2 hour guided tour through the caverns and Chattanooga is about 1.5 hours drive West.
 
ROCK CITY, CHATTANOOGA, TN: www.rockcity.com  Another fun experience for both the young'ns and the folks also located in Chattanooga, TN.  About a 2 hour self guided tour through some amazing rock formations on top of Look Out Mountain.


OCOEE WHITEWATER CENTER:  This is the site of the 2006 Olympics whitewater kayaking events.  This is very close the cabin West on Hwy 64 and makes for a great day trip of swimming and picnicing.


OTTER CREEK TROUT FARM:   828.321.9810 or email: ottercreek@yahoo.com www.agr.state.nc.us/NCproducts/ShowSite.asp?ID=2336     A fantastic day trip into the the Nantahala National Forest area.  Awesome scenic drive along the river with waterfalls and pull off spots for trout fishing.  Go visit Alex & Nicole for a fun and educational experience to learn about aquaculture on this working trout farm.  They also offer private access to Otter Creek for trout fishing anglers in the adjacent trout stream.
